The beaches are one of the most popular attractions, along with some of the world's best known theme parks.

Miami City Guide

Miami is the commercial center of Florida.

The local Latin population is mostly Cuban exiles (which have now become second and third generation locals,) with South Americans from various countries gaining ground. There is also a large Haitian community as well, and many signs and public announcements are in English, Spanish and Creole.

See

Miami Metro Zoo (http://www.metro-dade.com/Parks/Parks/metrozoo.htm) Gold Coast Railroad Museum (http://www.metro-dade.com/Parks/railroad.htm) (next to the Zoo) Fairchild Tropical Gardens (Botanic Gardens) (http://www.ftg.org/) Miami Seaquarium (http://www.miamiseaquarium.com/index.htm) Parrot Jungle Charles Deering Estate (http://www.metro-dade.com/Parks/Parks/deering.htm) Coral Gables Miami Beach (South Beach/SoBe) Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden (http://www.fairchildgarden.org/) Matheson Hammock Marina (http://www.co.miami-dade.fl.us/parks/Parks/matheson_marina.htm) For several years collectors of American silver eagle have speculated.

Eat

Many international cuisines are to be found, with a heavy leaning towards latin foods, particularly Cuban cuisine. Cuban cuisine to try: a sandwhich cubano (Cuban sandwich), and a cafecito (literally: little coffee, but compares to a strong, sweet expresso.)

Drink

Most of the drinking nightlife is centered around South Beach or Coconut Grove. "Cuba Libre" is a popular drink, known to the rest of the world as plain old "Rum and Coke".

Orlando City Guide

Orlando for most people conjures up the image of theme parks, mainly Disney, but it has a lot more to offer than that. In fact, technically Disney is not in Orlando. Make sure that you don't miss Downtown Orlando and charming Winter Park.

See

Orlando Museum of Art Menello Museum of Folk Art Morse Museum in Winter Park Lake Eola Fountain Orlando Shakespeare Festival - permanent home at the Orlando-UCF Shakespeare Theater at Loch Haven Park Thanks to the influx of performers associated with local them parks, there is a lot of good local theater - go to orlandoweekly.com to find current shows. Do

The two Universal parks that make up Universal Orlando are absolutely the best in the world. Universal Studios -- Universal owned theme park towards the north end of International Drive. More suited to the older child ranges upwards due to some very white knuckle rides. Islands of Adventure-- Universal owned theme park towards the north end of International Drive. More suited to the older child ranges upwards due to some very white knuckle rides. Seaworld -- Toward the south end of International Drive. Whilst this does have a couple of thrill rides this should suit everyones tastes. Disneyworld -- Nearby to Orlando.

Eat

Restaurant Row on Sand Lake Road is probably the largest collection in the region of outstanding dining options. Try the Samba Room, Moonfish, or Season's 52. At Universal CityWalk, Emeril's (Emeril being a chef with a semi-famous cooking show and a tagline of "Bam!") offers expensive but outstanding meals.

Drink

Go to the real Downtown Orlando, not the fake mall-like "Downtown Disney." Also take a walk down to the tiny Thornton Park District located near the intersection of Washington and Summerlin. Stop in for a drink and a quick bite at Dexter's on Washington. For local flair head across the street to Burton's Frosty Mug, just be warned that the person next to you at the bar may have been occupying the same seat for over 20 years. Sample the hip urban environment at the trendy HUE at the corner of Washington and Central.
